Thailand was the first country I went to in Southeast Asia. I actually only went to the north but I absolutely loved it. Lush jungles and mountains, and Chiang Mai is one of my very favorite cities. Bangkok is as seedy and touristy as you see in movies, but is still great to see at least once.
